I know that it started a wave of militancy against Human Rights from the Left back in 2015-2016, specially presumption of innocence, confronting the accuser and investigation, which the militants used to call "victim blaming" stating that victims don't lie. So the police should not waste time investigating. Just arrest the rapist and condemn him without trial as it was believed that investigation and fair trial were harmful for the victim's mental health and it would give the rapist a chance to escape jail for a technicality like "the supposed victim invented the whole story"(Mattress Girl, for example).
