This system is based on the Integrated Transport Network of the city of Curitiba (Brazil).
Being this the third means of transport of this type in Latin America, its logo is handled in each articulated of the system, handles two ranges of colors, one for the internal one (red / Transmilenio) and another one for the external one (blue / SITP). Each article manages a route and stops defined for its effectiveness in time and number of users entering and leaving the system, accessing it by means of a special card for this transport, which is placed on a surface thus activating access through a turnstile.
Each passage is of different value, for Transmilenio the value is $ 2,300 and for SITP is $ 2,100, at the time of transferring from one system to another, the value charged is $ 0 to those who have a personalized card and $ 200 those who do not have the personalization, the time to make the transfer without paying the full ticket is 95 minutes past this time, the entrance to the transport counts as a new trip.

Now, why do people complain that transportation is bad?
Well, in my opinion, it's because different things happen.
Theft or harassment in these media is frequent and usually natural persons do not do anything when they see this for fear that something will happen to them, on the other hand the policemen even if they apply the law, they do it or it burns or never appears in the place of the incident and when an arrest is applied, the justice releases the person in a few hours and continues with his crimes in the streets as if nothing happened.
there are too many people, the transport system is sufficient, but there are too many people making this system become ineffective and with little transport. Seeing this point more closely, many times the articulated ones are so full that the people who are waiting can not get on the transport, making these people wait longer.
The little punctuality of the frequency of transport (only applies to SITP), while in other (developed) countries there is punctuality between each bus that transits its route, in Bogotá due to traffic jams, the increase of vehicles every day, the mobility becomes more difficult, therefore unpunctuality between buses in both modes of transport is very disproportionate. Ex: you might expect transportation for 5 to 10 minutes, as you might expect from 20 to 40 minutes.
As I said, in my opinion the system is good in a matter of travel time, but in terms of waiting time or entering the system, it is very bad and it needs to be improved.
