Cebu, the Queen City of the South is a place that is no longer unfamiliar to me, a place full of childhood memories. :)

I could still remember those hot, summer days when my Mom and Dad would take me to Cebu to visit my paternal grandparents and relatives. Though I was a shy, introvert kiddo, I still got delighted seeing my cousins having fun together. Last December 2015, I made a visit to Cebu again.
About Cebu
Cebu is an island located at Central Visayas, Central Philippines. It plays important roles both in the tourism and economic progress of the country. It also has a rich history as seen on its old churches and buildings which are now considered a heritage of the past.

At SM Cebu
I remember when I was a primary schooler, SM Cebu was a cool place. We didn't have malls in our hometown before in Mindanao, that's why dropping by to SM Cebu, especially the Toy Kingdom Store was really exciting. The various toys and colorful decors were just so amazing to my eyes.
This time, I visited SM Cebu to meet a friend from Cagayan de Oro City. She's also a vegetarian, thus, she took me to a Thai Restaurant, Royal Krua Thai. Guys, I really love the food. It's tasty and has a reasonable price.

At Fort San Pedro

One of the historical treasures in Cebu is the Fort San Pedro. Built during the time of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, the first governor of Cebu, this military defense structure is a now a famous tourist spot. I got so thrilled upon seeing this structure. I felt like I was having a MAKABAYAN class field trip. There's actually a museum attached to the port but because I was in a hurry, my sister and I decided not to enter. I hope I could go inside the museum to gaze at some well preserved documents, paintings, sculpture, etc. way back the Spanish colonial period.

At Robinson's Galleria Cebu
When we visited RGC, it has been opened a few days ago. There were not so many stores opened yet. But, we like the Christmas tree and big flower guitar displayed on the mall's center. We couldn't help but take a photo in front of these cute structures.

It was actually my aunt who chose to take us to RGC instead of Ayala or SM since it was nearer to her workplace. By the way if you want to visit RGC, just go to the General Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City.

There are still so many places I want to visit in Cebu such as Temple of Leah, Sirao Flower Garden, Taoist Temple, Yap-San Diego Ancestral House, etc.
Let's support our local tourist sites. Explore and enjoy Pinas!
God bless us steemians!
