"Pass it on! Engage. Empower."

These were the words that resonated the Mountain View College campus last April 9-14, 2018. More or less 20 000 young people gathered together along with their guardians and parents to fellowship with each other and listen to the lectures and sermons.

I did camping!

I slept inside a tent with my sister for a week. That was awesome. MVC is situated 15 kilometers away from Valencia City, Bukidnon. It's naturally cold, especially at dawn! Even though we took a bath at my foster family's house. We did the laundry outside the home. We ate inside the tent. Well, we didn't cook (we're too busy for that) but we enjoyed buying various foodies at the venue.

I'm not good at setting up tents so, I'm glad that my friends helped me with it. I praise GOD coz there were no mosquitoes ruining my night. Despite the coldness that crept through the thick "comforter", we still did have good night sleep.

We opened the MAS AMiCUS Booth

Never did I expect to go to this Youth Congress. All I wanted after the convention was to take a rest, do job hunting, and do finish my online job. But God called me again, and oh, He provided all the necessary travel expenses to go to MVC. Plus, He gave us a tent (we just borrowed it) that was quite big for the two of us (with my sister). We were a bit anxious about our food expenses but God sent again blessings and He provided us that need. Every need was supplied, indeed.

When we open the booth, it was almost empty. We only had tables and chairs. We even had fears of not having enough money to buy the materials. However, God is awesome! He used people to bring the necessary cash for the materials. We bought rims of papers, cartolina, ink for the printer, etc. He also brought people to help us do the designing, cutting and pasting of the materials.

Our Redeemer is Faithful and True

The Youth Congress proved again that God is a real God. He is full of mercy and compassion. His mercies are new every morning. As we deal with the thousands of souls in the said event, our hearts were overwhelmed. It's such a joy to see the beaming faces of young people. We saw a generation of hope and dreams.

The memories of the Youth Congress will never be forgotten... :)
