We left early from Makati for our Family Reunion in Papa's side. We took the Atimonan Zigzag Park route going to Gumaca. The park is part of the Quezon National Forest, a protected landscape in Quezon, Philippines. The forest is also known as Bitukang Manok (Chicken Intestine) because of it's long, zigzag stretch of highway.
If you're a first time driver, you better be careful because of the twist and turns of the road or better yet ask someone who is more experienced in driving. People are also encouraged not to take the route at night to avoide accidents because the road is really steep.
Atimonan Zigzag Park, Atimonan, Quezon, Philippines — Breathtaking Rainforest, Delicious Breakfast, & Calming Cricket Sound.
Instead of driving straight away to Gumaca, we stopped by the park and I swear I was enchanted. It is a beautiful rainforest with loud cricket sound, and we had our delicious Filipino breakfast along with coffee which I think is more than perfect.
Now let me share to you the photographs I was able to take despite the constraint time. Please note that the images aren't so good because I downloaded them from my personal Facebook account, and we all know how Facebook compresses image resolution.
I still hope you enjoy the photographs as much as I did!
The long, stretchy highway also known as Bitukang Manok.
It was a beautiful sunny morning.
What kinda bugged me is that there were a lot of Atimonan signs in the park. I just find it weird.
Park Rules: No littering, no vandalism, and always have an accredited local tourist guide.
They have their canteen which also serves as their souvenir shop. My Tita ordered the food for us, so I decided to walk around and take photographs while waiting for the food to be served.
I saw Papa going out so I went after him.
We went back inside and I hurriedly called others to have their picture taken.
Mama and Papa
Mama and Andrew, my younger brother.
Really tall and beautiful trees!
We were asked to go back to our table because they're about to serve breakfast. Of course, Filipino cuisine! I swear it was so good; I wanted to order more rice but got embarrassed in the end.
With Tita Iying & Tito Vannie.
Breakfast is not breakfast without coffee!
While everyone was still chatting and enjoying their coffee, I walked and took more photographs. The cricket sound was so loud and I was loving every second of it.
My brother took this picture because I am scared of heights especially that I was only wearing slippers.
I hope you liked the photographs! All images were edited in #VSCO using #E5 filter. #VisitPhilippines #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines
