Photos can be very deceptive, some places look amazing in a photo but in real life they are a disappointment!
And then there are those places where the photos don't even do them justice!
For example, when you are in a boat under these palm trees on this river in Hanoi Vietnam it does look very nice, and its a tourist attraction because of how unique it appears in photos!
And yeah its fun for a few minutes....and Hanoi Vietnam is a very fun city! But you shouldn't go somewhere just to experience a photo or video! But if you DO want to experience a photograph, the best way is to experience something like the bright night sky! Watching the center of the milky way galaxy is only possible from the southern hemisphere from a place with low light pollution!
Whether you want an incredible visual experience, or if you really are into photography and just want to make an amazing memory that you can hang on your ceiling to visit in your dreams every night, then visit south america and make sure to make a stop at to Solar De Uyuni but do it while already visiting Peru for Machu Picchu and Bolivia for inca ruins at Lake Titicaca. I have been to Ecuador and Peru but I didn't take the multi day trip to Bolivia by Bus to visit this place and I regret it!
(example of American Samoa National Park view of the milky way from the southern hemisphere)
I will one day fly directly there with a good photographer to take some low exposure video and photos like the ones below...
though I haven't been to this particular salt flat in bolivia I met people who said it was both a disappointment when the water is dried up because then its just a salt flat....
(Here's an example of the photos of this place, Solar de Uyuni, Bolivia, but in the Daytime, you can see why this place became famous online)
But I also met people who were lucky enough to visit there while it wasn't all dried up! They said it was amazing and surreal! That you could just walk around and it was like being in a dream or the matrix! especially staying there until late at night! I have seen the milky way from southern hemisphere like this so I can say I have experienced this same night sky, In fact a group of us in VilcaBamba (some people I bet i can find on facebook and invite to steemit! Vilcabamba would LOVE steemit! TONS of expats from USA and many european countries and people all ovr the world moved out there to be safe in case of global disasters, lots of preppers and survivalists! A group of us one night just went outside to go take in the milkway inside a valley with so many fireflies it was like LEDs all going off in the fields! I wish I had a video camera that could actually have picked it up but it was night time!
I remember being there outside just staring at the milky way! The size of the galaxy just becomes so vast! You can feel the infinite depth!
Solar de Uyuni at night with the CENTER of the milky way! If you havent been the southern hemisphere, south america, africa, southeast asia, australia etc, ten u have NEVER reallly seen the milk way galaxy! from up here we only see OUT of the galaxy but down there u can see the CENTER and ist WAY brighter and WAY more interesting to look at!

This is the type of photo that i would have seen back in the 90s as a kid experiencing the internet grow up with my own consciousness, and this is the type of photo that would inspire me to look towards the future for an amazing new world where so much was now possible
When I was in Ecuador I wish I had mobile data and steemit back then! I could have posted so many videoos from VilcaBamba Ecuador! I am glad I still have some saved! heres my ex who I was there with, and me, both in awe at this rainbow (we were already spoiled by the view)
Heres another example of how beautiful it was in Ecuador! (And cheap too! $400 for a ticket from the US to Guayaquil or Quito, and then its basically $100 a MONTH for a nice hostel with your own room and bathroom etc or something even cheaper with a shared bathroom and shower, but you can get bunk beds for $3 to $10 a night all over the country, and in vilca if you ask around for a small cheap little room at Ecuadorian prices you can find places at Fifty dollars US a month! (And they use the US dollar officially as their main currency in Ecuador! so you can withdraw cash right from ATMs no problem, with basically no extra fees for conversion etc. (And now they just use bitcoin there because there is mobile internet everywhere now!
Video of ecuador from the bus, around Zamora, basically at the mountains of the Amazon
And heres video of me walking around Podocarpus National Park in Ecuador
Anyway to learn more about Solar de Uyuni they offer special tours
We should really reach out to the Expat community living in Ecuador especially in Vilcabamba, Loja, Cuenca, Quito, Guayaquil even Lima Cusco all the big cities have lots of Americans, Europeans, Asian, people from all over! Very international especially up in the Andes near the rainforest its like everyone wants a piece of the most beautiful most lush fertile biodiverse place on Earth! And everyone in Vilcabamba is looking for ways to make money online! They were already all into Bitcoin (and obsessed with conspiracies alex jones, illuminati chemtrails i never lived anywhere with so many conspiracy enthusiasts!
(madre Tierra is one of the more expensive resorts in Vilcabamba but even it is cheap at $24 a night, but you can find a rooom in Vilca for $50 a month to $130 a month for something as nice as this place! (its overpriced for Gringo tourists :D )
There were people with bitcoin back then in 2011 AND in 2014 the two times I was there! People were all sad about Mt Gox last time I was there saying "See!? bitcoin was "hacked" and value dropped in half overnight! see!!" but there was plenty of smart older people putting ALL their money into bitcoin after its value dropped, getting SICK of the Banks trying to control how much they can send and receive from the US down to ecuador! they honestly have rules at airports about not being allowed to carry over $10,000 in cash! Well now with bitcoin you can carry billions on you're pone or a piece of paper! Many american down there interested in bitcoin for the simple fact that it was decentralized! Decentralization ALONE attracts people
They must be LOVING bitcoin down in vilcabamba now! Even with the ecuadorian government trying to ban it, thats a joke! An plenty of local bitcoin ecuador dealers meetup publicly without fear! I bet most dont even KNOW the government officially wants to "ban" bitcoin LOL
Ecuador is NOT venezuela!! please dont assume its the same thing LOL ecuador is rich and capitalist and they LAUGH at the socialists over in venezuela!
Ecuador is an AFFORDABLE paradise! You can just LIVE there for 3 months an pay about $100 per month for your rent and five to ten a week to buy all the food you need at the farmers market where you can get a giant bag of potatoes for literally a few dollars! You can get everything you need for super cheap! You only need $300 a month to live like a KING You could probably live down there comfortably off $100 a month and that would include rent power internet and food. You can just post your journey in real time to steemit and you could FUND your vacation! Bitpay debit card to use ATMs down there to convert BTC or STEEM to cash and buy your plane ticket home even!
Anyway I just got excited remembering ALL the friends and connections I made in vilcabamba ecuador and we should REALLy be reaching out with steemit invites through facebook to every american and european expat living in vilcabamba ecuador! Theres maybe five to ten thousand just in vilcabamba and loja area that we can reach out to and many thousands more in Cuenca and Quito and Guayaquil!
Steem can be a great alternative to bitcoin incase of any regulations or laws against bitcoin!
Just thought I would share these magical places called VilcaBamba Ecuador and Solar de Uyuni, Bolvia, with steemit !
