And now for our daily shots, A Scorching Adventure to Kapurpurawan Rock Formations. Our midday trek to the Kapurpurawan Rock Formations in Ilocos Norte felt like stepping into a postcard as if that postcard was set inside an oven๐. The sun blazed hot overhead, turning the sky into a relentless dome of deep blue but our trusty umbrellas became our portable shade as we walked along the rocky trail. The path wound through coastal areas with occasional wind carrying the salty tsste of the sea.
As we walked, there were visible towering white windmills of dotted the horizon with their slow spins. The closer we got to the rock formations, the more surreal the landscape became. The Kapurpurawan rocks which we believe was sculpted by centuries of wind and waves, rose like ivory sculptures against the blue backdrop of the ocean. The contrast was breathtaking with the rough hot trail versus the smooth, almost polished curves of the rocks formations.
We climbed over some of the formations, careful not to slip on the smooth surfaces while the waves crashed nearby and sending up sprays of salt water. The heat was brutal but the views were worth every drop of sweat. At one point, we just stared on the rocks and staring at the endless sea while the windmills spinning lazily in the distance. It was one of those adventures where the effort magnified the reward.
P.S. Beverage vendors near the parking area are lifesavers! ๐ฅฅ๐
