Teldekpenskie rapids rightfully deserve the title of one of the most difficult sections of the river Katun. They are located along the Chemal-Edigan highway.
You can admire the threshold from a suspension bridge stretched across the river towards the village of Orokta. These thresholds as well as the Elandinsky pass through a tectonic rift. The depth in this place reaches 70 m.
The complexity of the thresholds varies with the seasons. In the spring, when icebreakers melt rapids represent a great danger and not a single tourist took their lives. In late summer and in the autumn, on the contrary, they are easily passable.
In addition to all, this place is famous for the bridge that opens access to the left bank of the Katun - wild and untouched nature.
