Central Park is one of the most famous city parks in the world. It was founded in 1853 between New York and Harlem. It was the first green area of this type throughout the United States. Although at the beginning it was surrounded by wastelands, it eventually became the center of the global metropolis, becoming the green lungs of all New York. It covers an area of 341 hectares (it is a larger area than the entire Principality of Monaco), where you can find lakes, countless bicycle paths, routes for runners and people who want to ride a horse. The number of trees planted here is impressive - there are over 26,000 of them. Thanks to that, inside the park you can not see the skyscrapers that surround us.
