The capital and biggest city of Germany: Berlin.
Berlin was best known for it's history as the German capital during war and for the wall that seperated east and west Germany. But nowadays Berlin is known for it's internationalism and tolerance, vibrant nightlife, many cafés, clubs, bars, street art, a wide variety of museums (there are more museums than raindy days), beautiful palaces and other historic sites.
The architecture is greatly varied. Although it was badly damaged during the final years of second World War and big parts of it broken apart during the Cold War, Berlin has reconstructed itself, especially with the reunification push after the fall of the wall. It is possible to see different historic periods in a single day in Berlin. From the medieval buildings at Alexanderplatz to the super modern at Potsdamer Platz.
Funnily enough, Berlin has got more bridges than Venice.
