This post RESONATES sooooo much after 16 years of me living here in Thailand. Can't tell you how many upset, sick and distressed travelers I have helped, sent to the hospital, and yes - even organised cremations for. This stuff is REAL Your tips are great, except for the vegetarian one, which is really off base. Studies here in Thailand show that the most likely things to give you food poisoning are actually rice, and oranges. Rice - cos rice cookers often use tap water and it doesn't get hot enough to kill ecoli etc. And oranges. So much fruit is fertilized with pig excrement and no one washes the fruit properly before juicing. Eating veggie and thinking it protects you lulls you into a false sense of security. Bit mostly GREAT TIPS and super helpful to newbie travelers.
Hit me up for a coffee if you ever make it to Chiang Mai, Thailand. :)
