Bangkok travel tip #2 - The Artist's House
Along the canals of Bangkok you can find one of my favorite places, the name says it all, right? The Artist's House!
To me Baan Silapin Artist's House feels like a magical place, away from Bangkoks buzz. You can relax here while watching longtail boats pass by, feed the many fish in the canal, watch artists at work or enjoy a traditional puppet show.

The Artist's House is also a great place to visit with kids! You can let them paint a mask or a little piggy bank.

TIP: Buy a mask or piggy bank to paint, fun times!

Chill out, eat some lovely thai food and watch the longtail boats pass by. It's also a great oppertunity to watch how the locals live.

Unfortunately there was no puppet show when we visited, but we did get to watch some artists at work and enjoyed feeding fish and painting masks!
TIP: You can combine your visit with a Klong (canal) tour on a longtail boat

You want to visit The Artist's House? You can take the BTS Skytrain to Bang Wa, then you can either walk for 20 minutes or grab a taxi. Tell the driver you want to go to Baan Silapin or Wat Kuhasawan, that's a temple close by.
TIP: Some taxi drivers have some trouble speaking English, make sure you have the location written down in Thai (or on your phone)
Have you ever visited The Artist's House? Or do you have other favorite places to visit in Bangkok? Be sure to let me know!
