I visited to Bali for first time when, I was selected for Indian team of Maths Olympiads and finals are organised in Bali. We won two golds there !! Along with competition we travelled Bali & there I found out some awesome things about Bali.
- Nyepi Day : Silence Day
One of my friend Gigola from Indonesian team told me that there is a Nyepi Day which was celebrated on beginning of every new year. That day every one celebrates complete silence, isn't that awesome ? Work, travelling, industries everything stops even conversation stops !!
- Ganung Agung : Center of Universe
Ganung Agung is one of the highest point on the island and it is also sacred place for local people. Many people consider that it is replica of Mount Meru which is the centre of universe.
- The Kopi Luwak : Most Expensive Coffee On Earth
Since our competition tour was completely sponsored by Indian government we went to the restaurant where we (our sir) ordered The Kopi Luwak, which costs $50 per cup which is around $850 per kg.
Our sir told that the coffee isn't a naturally grown it was collected from the digestion of a civat cat. Sounds disgusting right ?
