We will start our trip with photos from RΓΌdesheim am Rhein. This city is located in the Land of Hessen. It belongs to World Heritage UNESCO Middle Valley of Rhein. And no wonder, it's soo beautiful place surrounded by vineyards which are located on Taunus Mountains. This city in Germany is very old. First informations about this village comes from 1074 year and it's famous thanks to local produced vine, and also brandy and sweets Asbach Uralt brand. Unfortunately, I forgot to take some pictures from the city, ehhh πBut we can see the views on pictures below. Look at vineyards, doesn't they look beautiful on these mountains in autumn colors?π
Above city and river Rhein, in Taunus Mountains, ascends impressive monument Niederwald, comonly callled Germania. Monument has been built for special occasion - commemorating victory in war with France in 1870-1871 and additionally Establishment of a Imperial Of Germany. It represents proud, women figure which stares in the direction of France. This monument is HUGE and I'm wondering, how people built it and pulled parts of it up the mountain π€π± Woman Character has 12,5 meters, her head has more than one meter of height. But... the monument has 38,18 meters of height and weights 75 TONS! It's really HUGE and beautiful!
On pedestal can be found a lot of allegorical sculptures and commemorative plaques. The element reffering to the moment of reunion of all German Kingdoms(sorry if i misspelled here I'm not sure) is huge statue made out of bronze. It presents 133 people of actual real height taking part in act of reunion. Character in the center is Prussian King - Wilhelm, which later became The First German Emperor. Right under the monument are situated viewing terraces, where we can see beatuiful views for vineyards, mountains, river Rhein and small, nearby villages.
In the area there is located park with little restaurant where we can order something to drink and enjoy the view from outside seats. There is also Niederwald Temple perfect for pictures, even one time (I was in this place two times) I seen honeymooners, who were taking wedding pictures for album in this place. For sure these pictures came out brilliant! π
We also were in Wiesbaden which is famous of its thermal springs. Even though these waters are very healthy for our organism... If you decided to drink it, you need to know, that you can daily drink only 0,4l for three months. These waters have a lot of naturally occurring minerals and congener. Here is a list of them.
Here is something that seems to be fountain with the healthy water, the water was so hot, when I touched the stone! It was a little bit cold so the water started steaming up π
And here are taps, where you can pour thermal water into your bottle. The water taste is so salty and little hmmm... metal? Hahaha π
Beside that, there is big casino situated in Wiesbaden for richest people. Front of this building has big place with fountains, where you can sit on grass and spend time with friends.
Nearby mentioned Casino there is located beautiful old Theatre with big park and ducks in it. π
Whole city has amazing architecture and it's all because, during WWII It has not been bombed, so all buildings have been preserved and they look wonderful. Personally, I'm such a pasionate of architecture. I love every kind of buildings and delight them, so I was in heavenπ!
After a long day on tour, we went to Italian restaurant "Vapiano", where chefs are taking your order, not waiters! π² That was something different and at the same time curious. You're making your order and chef's gives you something similar to beeper. If your dish is ready, the beeper starts to vibrate! Funny, I haven't seen it before lol! π
You can eat here very delicious Italian food like original pizza, antipasti, salads, lasagne and mooooore! I really liked it, because they have vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options in menu. I ordered vegan Bruschetta with big amount of arugula and vegan parmesan. Too bad, I was so hungry and I forgot to take picture of it lol! π
Have a nice day guys!π
