Lobatera is a charming village, picturesque and fresh with the climate of the mountain ranges of the andes, located between the capital of the state of San Cristobal and the town San Pedro of the River, is the capital of the municipality Lobatera one of the 29 municipalities of the State of Tachira.

Its streets are full of old houses preserved with bright-coloured façades and a calm and friendly population, offering the visitor handicrafts and sweets typical of the region, its peaceful climate invites to rest and the encounter with the fullness of the peace that inspires This locality.

In this town is the Church of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá in honor of the Virgin patron of the town, this is in my opinion one of the most beautiful churches in Táchira state (which enjoys having a square and a church in each of its villages).

Sus calles están repletas de casas antiguas conservadas con fachadas de colores vivos y una población calmada y amable, que ofrece al visitante artesanías y dulces típicos de la región, su clima apacible invita al descanso y el encuentro con la plenitud de la paz que inspira esta localidad.
