Antoni Gaudí began construction of Sagrada Família in Barcelona in 1883 to be fully realized 143 years later in 2026. Known for its visual dance of organic form and permeative details, the cathedral stands as one of the most revered architectural wonders of the world. At the time of the building's design, in late 19th century, Gaudi tackled the mathematical complexity of the structure through up-side-down weighted modeling visualizations, using laws of gravity to determine architectural form of the building.
