Yesterday we decided to spend a few hours at the beach here on the bay, which was only the second time we have been on the beach for more than twenty minutes.
We thought it was strange that we have been in Mexico for two months and have hardly spent time on the beach during the day to sit and relax and swim. We set out on foot and walked a fair distance along the main street next to the beaches to find a spot that was quiet and has fewer people.
On the way I stopped and noticed some big birds which I don't know the name of. They seemed to be having some serious bird moments.
The one thing that I saw along the way was something I have never seen before. This was a starfruit tree with golden beautiful starfruit on it and nobody picked them. I guess they are not the most exciting fruit to eat. I just love the look of them and I like the taste as well.
We found a great spot where a man offered us two chairs and an umbrella, but we didn't want to spend the five dollars so we declined the offer. Then he asked us if we just wanted the chairs for less. We took that offer that cost us less than two dollars. We seem cheap but without a job, we want to be prudent with our money.
For someone who is not vegan, like we are, there is no reason to get out of your chair if you are hungry, thirsty or would like to shop for souvenirs, clothing and jewelry.
Across the bay there are homes, hotels and other buildings that line the mountainside. I would imagine this is where the more valuable properties are.
In the distance sat a large cargo ship.
The sun slowly set and presented different stages of it's light show which we enjoyed equally.
And then we were done with the day.
Some images were taken with a Nikon D7000 and some with a Nikon coolpix.
