The South Urals, Mount Bolshoi Nurgush - 1406 meters above sea level, is the highest point of the Nurgush ridge and the entire Chelyabinsk region. And here is the largest mountain plateau in the region. The slopes are covered with mixed forest (birch, spruce, pine). Sparse wood begins above 800–900 m, then subalpine meadows, mountain tundra and stone placers - "kurumniki"
The main peak of the Bolshoi Nurgush is marked with a stick with ribbons sticking out of a pile of stones. Here in 2017, people calling themselves Cossacks established a large metal cross. “From the encroachment of every adversary on the Ural land,” it says. Whether it is appropriate here, decide for yourself.
