A round-up of a village Karanpur, Udaipur, India.
India is called a country of villages as most of the population lives in villages and dependent on agriculture. But now the picture is changing fast and villagers are also taking part in the development story of India. Villages are known to be a place for mental peace but it seems in the coming time no longer they will be like old villages and resident of villages will enjoy all modern facilities.
When I visited this village yesterday I found a mixed culture of old and modern, that shows the sign of change in the life of villagers.

A ruin of old house in village where nobody lives now

An old man sitting outside his house, greet everybody passing from there

Streets are cleaner than before probably a effect of clean India movement called "Swatch Bharat Abhiyan"
A overhead water tank shows that villagers are not dependent on well only and they have water supply at home

An old lady can't give up her habit of bringing water from well, she enjoys it

Villagers enjoy all modern telecommunication facilities

Government Ayurvedic and Veterinary clinic facilites in the village

A bus stop

A beautiful street art of god, people worship it also!

A temple under construction
