Some members of our community think cashing out our hard-earned #STEEM for #travel spendings will render the #STEEM economy unsustainable. I'm trying to look into that argument and I guess if, and it's a big IF, that's going to happen, if everyone cashes out, it doesn't really matter whether it's travel or food or toothpicks.
But concerns about spendings on travel using hard-earned STEEM is the real issue here. How do people traveling using STEEM help the economy much less make it sustainable?
Why do whales condone these types of expenditures using STEEM? (Is this true?)
My understanding as a lay person is that the more STEEM gets cashed out the more it becomes liquid in economic value and more viable outside of STEEM economy. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
And STEEM does not actually disappear once you cash it out. In fact it may actually increase its value.
As far as traveling is concerned, I personally believe that the best education we can ever acquire is through travel. It does not only benefit one's own interest but also opens up opportunities for the host countries to learn about other cultures of the world.
If I were to spend all my hard-earned STEEM to travel the world, I would. Then I'll have something to share to the community during and after my travel.
I believe that between the whales and minnows, they see value in travelling and I personally recommend to do this at least once a year.
Let's go travel the world! STEEM away!
