Last November 10, i have a privilege to travel to Sagada, the locals here are so friendly specially Ate ( Forgot her name, Sorry ) of Rios & Ruzys Sagada Family Inn. They have a reasonable accommodation rate and tour packages. There are many Tourist Sites in Sagada, and here are the list so you won't miss anything when you get there:
Kiltepan Peak Sunrise
Kiltepan Sunrise is one of the best spot in Sagada, This is the reason why majority of tourist will go to Sagada. The sea of clouds is so breath taking that you will also see the sea of smart phones.
the cold weather and stiff drive will not stop tourists to witness these amazing view
Bomod-ok Falls
You will have to trek an hour before reaching this site. The Falls is by far the largest i see, the pressure is so strong that going near the falls is like dashing into a typhoon. definitely a Site to visit in Sagada
Sumaguing Cave
Spelunking is not for the faint-hearted, but first-timers are welcome to give it a try.
Perhaps that was the reason that compelled many first-timers to explore Sumaguing Cave in Sagada, Mountain Province through basic caving despite the lack of experience and knowledge of what lies underneath.
It draws visitors of different ages and levels of spelunking experience for its magnificent limestone formations and cavern-like expanse that can only be seen by taking the adventurous trail down the deep, dark, and cold cave.
Hanging Coffins
According to our local guide, instead of being placed into the ground, these coffins are placed inside the caves hanging or at the face of the cliff close to the hanging coffins of their ancestors. These coffins are placed up to the cliff to make it sacred and to ensure that the coffins would not be ruined by people who could not understand the old tradition. In the past, people never had an understanding of heaven and hell
Echo Valley
Echo Valley got its name from the echo it produces each time a tourist shouts. Echo valley is primed and ready to rejuvenate bodies and spirits. And it’s located just a 15-20 minute walk from the main town. The place gives a tourist a brief overview of what they can expect in Sagada
Lake Danum Sunset Viewing
Lake Danum is a small lake which is a Kankana-ey word (also is prevalent in Ilocano) which means water. It is surrounded by pine trees and its scent proliferate the area making a relaxed atmosphere and one of the best places to camp at Sagada.
Lake Danum Sunset viewing should also be in your list in your travel in sagada
Here are some of the other attractions, that we have failed to visit in our ventures to Sagada:
Marlboro Mountain
Lumiang Burial Cave
Dokiw Hanging Coffins
Hope to make my blog useful for you guys who's planning their trip to Sagada.
