So, I accidentally moved to Bulgaria a few months ago.
I was going to spend just the month of October in Bansko, but then I wondered why I should go back to cold, wet, gray, depressing Berlin when I could just spend the winter here?
I mean, look how beautiful it is here:
Now that the winter has arrived, the village looks a bit different.
At least when you're staying in the cloud and can't even see the mountains anymore.
But luckily, blue skies are only a short Gondola ride away...
It takes about 20min of gondo-ling through mist and clouds, but then...
Wow...
And soo much snow up there! And sun!! The ski season has just begun here. Very few people of course, due to lockdowns and travel restrictions. I can't even imagine what it's like when it's high season here. I guess that's the silver lining that you don't have to queue for long anywhere right now.
I'm very happy that I (voluntarily) stranded here for a while.
Hope you're all having happy holidays wherever you are!
