Had a short, but rather sweet stay at the Emerald Central in Saigon. The place was practically brand new, celebrating its one year anniversary the night we happened to lay our heads on the EC’s pillows. The timing was perfect, and I happened to meet these stellar bro’s during our short stay.
These two hardworking young men define what it means to work for what you deserve. Their welcoming nature, friendliness, and ability to connect with their clients allowed for myself and to feel like we were at home, even though we are over 13,000 km from our real home back in the states. We stayed one night and the connection with these two was instantaneous. We talked and chatted it up. Human connection is sometimes difficult to come by in today’s technologically led age, but it’s out there, if you’re willing to reach out to people of different backgrounds unlike your own and connect on a more personal level.
It’s cool they were able to hear about myself and where I come from, and vice versa. Our lives are very different, but the roots of brotherhood are strong regardless of such differences. I was able to get their contacts so we can stay in touch.
I may be leaving Saigon tomorrow, but the “brother nature” bondage shall forever remain!
Mad respect to my new bro’s, Lam Son Hai and Le Uy Vy! Congrats on the engagement, Lam! Good luck finishing up University, Le!
I know you guys will be reading this one at some point. I gave them my blog page to follow for as long as they wish. STAY IN TOUCH & DON’T BE A STRANGER!
