Hi everyone,
If you visit my blog regularly, you certainly know that my homeland, the Czech Republic, is a popular tourist destination with so much to offer. Prague, the capital of my country, is full of tourists all year round as it has its charm in every season but there are several peaks throughout the year when the Czech metropolis is really crowded with both domestic and international visitors.

It comes as no surprise that one of those peaks is actually right now in these days as the Easter is just around the corner. The Czech National Tourism Office estimates that approximately 300,000 visitors will arrive to Prague for the long Easter weekend, which is a significant increase compared to a common weekend. Traditionally, most of the tourists will arrive from Germany but more and more Czech people from other parts of the country have been finding their way to Prague on Easter too.

So if you don’t know where to spend this year´s Easter, Prague might be your choice. Or – if you don’t like having too many people around you – try one of the places I have recently promoted in my Travel Tips series. Easter is celebrated all over the country so you can enjoy the unique experience of Czech Easter regardless of the location.
PS: If you want to find out more about Czech Easter traditions, stay tuned for a special post with another themed photocontest that I am going to publish on Monday.
