One of the common misconception is that by many St. Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle is the castle itself. Nevertheless, Prague Castle consist of many complex buildings and St. Vitus Cathedral is the one that dominates them all and can be seen from various locations in the city. St. Vitus Cathedral (Katedrála svatého Víta) is a Gothic masterpiece and the spiritual symbol of the Czech state. It is one of the prominent buildings in the city and is the largest and most important church in the country.
As I described in my previous post allow yourself whole morning or afternoon to spend at the Prague Castle, especially if you like to visit the cathedral inside.
