It is my pleasure to introduce you to another interesting place of my homeland the Czech Republic in today´s travel tip. This time around, I will take you to the Jested Mountain located in the northern part of the country.

With an elevation of 1,012 m (3,320 ft), Jested may not be among the highest mountains of the Czech Republic but it definitely is one of the most popular as there are plenty of activities you can do there.
There is the Jested Tower at the very top of the mountain where you can find restaurants to refresh yourself after the hike and even a small hotel, if you decide to stay overnight. When the visibility is good, you can enjoy stunning landscape vistas from the tower. You can actually see as far as into both Germany and Poland from Jested.
Jested is also sought-after by fans of winter sports as the mountain serves as a popular ski resort in winter. As you can see in the photo below, the place has its charm and beauty in winter too.

The Jested Mountain is easily reachable from Liberec, one of the biggest cities of Northern Czech Republic. It is a very short car drive from Liberec and you can even use public transport (trams) to get to Jested from the city.
