Switzerland fascinated me, everything was so in it's place, neat and perfect. It was as beautiful as the pages in a fairytale. The streets were clean and nearly empty, and it was a Saturday. As I frolicked with my friends down the street with the excitement of seeing each other for the first time in two years, I noticed that everyone else strutted in the same slow, upright manner with a pleasant enough expression on their faces. A part of me felt terrified of the unfamiliar calm, and for a moment I craved the noisy chaos of New York City. My mind began to wonder off, imagining that the Swiss people were all robots, and that my friends and I had better stop making each other laugh out loud lest they realize that we are still humans and capture us. However I quickly found comfort in the the serenity of Geneva, Switzerland. I couldn't believe this was an actual city. I felt like I had been transported to some utopian realm; It was refreshing.
Chillon Castle was the destination, but the beauty of the extensive Alps forced us to pull over and just stare at it. I stood for a while in that spot. It was peaceful.
The cleanest streets in the multiverse.
The Chillon Castle is located in Lake Geneva, and was the inspiration for the seaside castle in the Little Mermaid.
