Hi Steemians!
Many people in the world know about Tequila and love drinking margaritas but they usually don't know where the drink originated or why it is named like that.
Tequila is a regional distilled beverage and type of alcoholic drink made from the blue agave plant, this type of plant is found in the city of Tequila in the State of Jalisco. Yes, that is why they gave it that name! Most of the Tequila produced in the World comes from that city.
Tourists that visit Jalisco usually go to the capital, Guadalajara. From here, it is very easy to get to Tequila. Buses are scheduled every 15 minutes from downtown and it costs around 10 dollars to get to Tequila. If you also want to take a tour, there are many companies that offer them at very affordable prices. The tour includes Tequila tasting at the factories where Tequila is made and you also get to walk around the Agave fields!
This is a picture of me in the fields.
Hope you enjoyed the post, and remember,
If you want to make some good memories, add some tequila!
