I landed in Manila yesterday after covering my 24 hour journey live in this post:
I booked an accommodation by AirBnb and it's the first time when I'm surprised that the flat is looking much BETTER than the picture! I though it will be some old buidling and the condo wouldn't be impressive either. But it turned out to be the newest building in the whole area and the condo is brand new.

Helipad on top of the TV building in front of my window, fun thing to watch:

Trying to catch that heli from my bedroom window:

And when the night comes it gets even better!
Contrast!
As I told you before there almost no other new buildings in the area, some new are being constructed but still way to go. Other than that there are mostly low buildings 2-3 floor or detached houses. It reminds me LA. Really just take a look:

You can feel really detached from the society living on 30th floor and having such views. The neighborhood looks fairly poor and dodgy. I wouldn't go out after dark too much. I've been already warned by my friend.
Some street chaos:

I will be posting from here everyday.
Eating out
Food is quite cheap here but unfortunately I chosen probably one of most expensive places in the area for my first meal. Well maybe because it was American? 700 PHP is rather on the expensive side here, it's 14 USD.
While today I enjoyed equally tasty chicken in a Hong Kong style restaurant for... 130 PHP! Bargain it is.
