Now I can stop whining about private resorts because I found a way to the secret beach! Well, it's not really a secret, it's just not privatized. I found out yesterday the differing views of people here on Steemit. Some people can really get reactive when it comes to the word/title 'private' but I think it just reflects poorly on the attention span of some people. That's just the effect of social media and not getting off your phones, hey! But maybe it's just not paying attention to details, my language ability or the defensive political side of people. Or maybe everything is just in my head, so shooooo diabolic voices!
But did you know that the best things in life are free however cliché? I know you like that so please stop the pretense. But if you work 9-5, I think it just makes sense to pay for everything. So you can buy a private property when you're already too old to even run around. I know a retired expat in a nice, secluded beach in Ecuador with a massive beach house. But he's too old, too sick to even walk and enjoy the beach. Anyway, I was one of the traveling 'workaway' volunteers to walk his dogs during sunset. So in the end, I was the one running around and enjoying his empty beach house more. So you see what I mean? It's cool to have a private property that you protect with all your might (sacrificing your manners, ethics, and intellect) because you worked hard for it all your life. It only does not make any sense to have a beach house when you're dying. Why can't you enjoy something while you're still young? It does make sense for people to defend this ideology or what's dear to them (money) because everyone seems to be following it huh. So if you are worried about those who shit on your property, it's because the capitalist system imposed on them that gangsta behavior. It's not rocket science. Go have a think.
And so much for that rant, sigh...my heart. Good thing I have my cardio workout now. Anyway, I'm happy again that I discovered other ways to the beach. I only have to go through undeveloped roads (don't make the politicians rich with your taxes, hey!) and sandy paths, that's why I'm loving my new bicycle! Isn't it nice to have my own vehicle and go wherever I want for free? The best part is that I don't need to spend money on petrol.
What a really great afternoon to bike around! This is going to be my new routine. Isn't it nice to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and rush hour traffic? I like cycling on narrow roads because the vibe here is nicer and the people are more laidback. I also love seeing kids cycle beside me. The people in the small villages were happily answering my questions about the directions. Someone also let me go through the private property and was nice enough to point me back to the main road. I think cycling not only connects me to mother nature, it also restores my faith in humanity. This activity makes me feel like I'm still part of mankind. Isn't that great?
Just watch out for those killer coconuts on the way! Would it be such a shame to naturally die because of a random coconut? Too bad I won't be able to blog about that when I'm dead.
I am thinking of taking nice pictures of the nature around here. I'm also interested in taking photographs of the bugs and farm animals. Geckos, butterflies, goats, dragonflies, cows, and birds. Next time, I'm going to bring a snorkeling gear and take underwater pictures too. I think animal and underwater photography would be another great hobby to add to my life.
This beach is not really the best beach on the island but I really like it because it's not crowded and it's close to my place. I'm still having a hard time waking up early to catch the sunrise here though. But I think it's also nice to hang out here in the afternoon, stare at the sea or read a book.
The only thing about this beach is that it's always low tide that one can actually just walk up to the middle. And the water is very calm.
I think this is actually more of a fishing village as you can see. But there's a resort around here too with some tourists. Not a tourist-hater, but just saying.
Anyway, I love being able to cycle to the beach and get off my computer for a couple of hours. Next time, I will try to discover other beaches that I can still go to for free.
