Normally, children who aren't homeschooled spend 30 to 35 hours a week in school under the guidance and authority of teachers. Consequently, teachers have a unique opportunity to have a positive influence on the emotional and mental well-being of children who are helped to develop good self-esteem stand a stronger chance of thriving as adults.
