Hi Steemians
This is the Dubai Desert Safari. We did some research before booking. There are 3 well known companies. We finally chose Platinum Heritage. This one is the most expensive of the 3. But has better desert camp and food, and not as crowded as the other 2. But the other 2 have dune bashing activity, and platinum heritage doesn't. As they believe it is bad for environment.
And you get better photos as the sand is protected and not bashed
When we arrived at the desert we were driven by a vintage Landrover by our Guide
There are desert animals living on the desert
Desert plant
There is also a hotel in the middle of the desert, depending on the package you pay for you can choose different activities
There is also a falcon show
It wasn't too hot as it was sunset
After sunset we were taken to the camp
Coffee maker
The place we sit to enjoy the show and dinner
They are cooking dinner in traditional way
While we enjoy the show
This is traditional UAE dance, the other company has belly dancing which is not from UAE
There is also camel riding activity at the camp
The kids enjoy this the most, and you can ride as many times as you want
Dinner is served. There is also camel meat, but the camels are different, there are 3 grades if camels i think, top 1 is racing camel, and the pet camel that we were riding. And the meat camel. The one for food.
There are other side activities like tatooing
We were picked up from our hotel lobby and dropped off back to the hotel when the tour finished. It costs double than the other 2 companies but probably half less crowded, better camp, better food and better tour guide, and better looking sand, minus dune bashing and belly dancing. Everyone's preference is different but i was very happy with my choice,
