Hi Steemit.
This is the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car which we can enjoy panoramic view of Hong Kong's Lantau island and will take you to Ngong Ping Village where we can visit the Tian Tan Buddha
First we went on the subway train to Tung Chung station. There is a big outlet mal beside the station and it is popular with people in transit at Hong Kong since it is near airport. This is the map of the area
We did some research before and found people complaining about the long queues and decided to purchase the tickets online. And luckily purchased at the right website
And we were right. There is a long queue to purchase ticket. So by online purchase we skip this queue. There is also a line to exchange vouchers. So if you bought voucher and not ticket you need to queue.
Photo opportunity before going on the cable car
Straight to the cable car queue. Only around 20 minutes. Not bad
There are 2 kinds of cable car. 1 is normal and another one is crystal. Crystal ones have glass bottom, could be scary for some people and costs slightly more.
We purchased mixed tickets. So crystal on the way up and normal one on the way down
There is a photographer taking pictures when you go inside the cable car
Cable car going up
Inside the cable car. It can fit up to 8 to 10 people
Glass bottom
Enjoying the nice view
Other cable cars in front of us
The journey was over 20 minutes
Some people choose to walk or use a bus. But i think it's different feeling to using cable car
The cable car stops at Ngong Ping Village which has the famous Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. Also many shops and restaurants, and other entertainments.
Tian Tan Buddha visible from inside cable car
It was a nice panoramic ride and we were glad we did research otherwise we had to queue for hours to get the ticket. There was a guy selling ticket for a little profit too like in the ferry terminal.
