Although New Zealand is now in Spring, you can still see snow capped mountains if you travel to places with higher ground. The following photo was taken near the desert road when I was traveling to Taupo sometime in October last year. It was a clear sky and the scenery was simply gorgeous. I pulled over and snapped the following picture.
