Hi everyone!
I joined steemit community about a month ago and have been receiving interesting ideas/articles since. Today, I would like to share my experience with United Airline.
This week, I flew from east coast to west coast using United and since it is a red-eye flight, I purchased the Economy Plus so that I could have a bit more room and bring my suitcase as my carry-on. However, when I was at the gate, the United Airline agent asked me if this flight was going to my final destination and after I answered yes, she tagged my suitcase as a checked bag without even asking for my consent...
When I told her that I paid for having this suitcase as my carry-on, she shook her head and said they had a full flight and my bag had been tagged so there was nothing she could do... I was a bit upset but said nothing until I saw there were room on the plane... I request her agent number from her co-workers (since I could not go back to the gate) so that I can file a complaint against her to United Airline but her co-workers refused to provide any employee ID...
What I found most disturbing is one remark from a flight attendant. He said and I quote, "so your baggage go checked, so what?" I find it particularly annoying as it shows how little this United Airline employee respects consumers' rights. I paid for extra service and when you could not deliver, you should apologize not patronize me. The attitude he held against me is not what I would expect from a professional. I am still waiting on response from United Airline customer service, if they ever reply...
Anyhow, feel free to share your story with United Airline :)
