They have their own preferences, decisions, and reactions.
What is happening to you is the consequences of the movement of people, things and scenarios around you. And you don't have power over them.
You are hurting because you allow these things to hurt you. It is okay.
But hurting yourself for too long is choosing to change everything beyond your zone. You will continue to suffer until you realize that, again, you don't have power over them.
