So this would be my third post since I joined here. Alright, where do I begin? :)
Has anyone of you been to Vigan already? Vigan is an old city that lies within the province of Ilocos Sur. I was given an opportunity to travel there just last year because this happened to be the province of my boyfriend's mom. With a travel time of more or less 6 hours from Manila, you'll be able to see the wonders that Vigan has to offer.
One of the most famous and most visited tourist site in Vigan is the Calle Crisologo - the Heritage Village. Known for its ancestral Spanish houses, the beautiful architectures, the bricked walls and pavements, you'll have a feel of Spanish era while walking in the streets of Calle Crisologo. The street is not passable by vehicles other than the calesa - a horse carriage which could be rented by tourists to roam around the famous attraction sites in the city.
Aside from the ancestral houses, there are also a lot of souvenir shops within the street where you can buy souvenir items, delicacies and a lot more. There are also cafe shops where you can just chill and relax while savoring the moment. I was able to go there twice, during the day and during the night. It was nice roaming around there during the day but I appreciate it more during the night because the street is so lively and it felt like it's more romantic during the night especially when you have your partner with you.
Just do not forget to grab an icecream from Mamang Sorbetero when visiting there during the day to help you cool down as the weather could sometimes be scorching hot here in the Philippines! Nevertheless, it is indeed more fun in the Philippines. :)
