It's not about the destination, its about the journey

A proverb that I disagree with eight times out of ten, but does work very well for road trips and this part of our little adventure yesterday.
As we drove to Pori, and were just driving around to see if anything sparks our interested, we saw this wooden structure peaking between and above treetops in the distance and decided to check it out. There was little parking lot near it, with an information sign saying it's a bird watching tower, and some general information about the birds in the area. What the info-plaque lacked of, was to show how to get to the tower itself.
We could see it but it was behinds, trees, bushes, high grass and trenches. It took us a while to walk around and we finally found a little trail that seemed to be leading towards the tower. We were chuckling when we noticed it wasn't a straight trail, but it was winding up towards the tower slowly. I always feel like a little kid in a secret garden when I'm walking on a little path, between bushes and grass as tall as me.
Shot with the Nikon D7200 and Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8.
The actual tower and the views from it were nothing more than mediocre, but I really enjoy the walk to and from it. So this time it's 6-0 to the journey, against the final destination.
EDIT: My sister just send me these!
