Shades Of Fall At Herring Cove Provincial Park New Brunswick, Canada
Herring Cove Provincial Park is a delight to those who love nature and like to explore. The park is known in New Brunswick as Lover's Island Paradise. Herring Cove is an island park that is on New Brunswick's Bay of Fundy. All the many colors make this a fall paradise. With numerous hiking trails, this is a hikers utopia.
This amazing park is spectacular in fall, green and new in Spring, and full of blooms in the summer. The hiking trails are for all levels with several that are very unique. One of the trails, Carriage Road, travels through an ancient grove of spruce trees, has a small pond, several log bridges, and even a very old logging road. The logging road is famous for having been used by the Roosevelts. This is a park with a little history tucked with-in one of natures bountiful playgrounds.
The island provides many opportunities for camping, picnics, Kayaking and canoeing. Long Beach is a beautiful beach with sheer cliffs and a wide variety of marine life, including Sea Urchins. Bald eagles, osprey and beavers are often seen from the trails.
Those who love to golf will like the 9-hole golf course, complete with a pro shop. When you are feeling hungry, stop at the restaurant, which specializes in local cuisine.
While there, cross on over to Roosevelt Campobello International Park. The late President Franklin Roosevelt spent his summers on this delightful island. This is jointly cared for by the U.S. and Canada. This is an international island, so be sure to bring your passport.
No matter what season you desire to come, there is something to do for everyone. It is a playground for adventurers, explorers, and those who just want to enjoy the quietness of nature. It is a perfect adventure for the whole family.
