Our plan for the next day was to visit the White Temple which was three hours away from Chiang Mai, we decided to rent a car for the journey to Chiang Rai, the goal was also to take some picture of the "High Priestress dress", one of the clothe she designs for her brand Fringe and Epaulette.
Knowing that the White Temple was one of the most popular tourist attractions in Thailand, we left Chiang Mai at 4.30am hoping to get to the temple before hordes of tourists arrived. On the way there, we looked to the right and noticed a spectacular scene:
Sunrise over a field of rice.
There was so much fog that all you could see was a mystical pink glow and the shadowy forms of trees in the distance. Gilles saw a "photogasm" opportunity and asked me to walk among the wet rice stalks so he could some pictures.
