Hey Steem fam,
Just wanted to drop a quick update on my hospital/passport status and what's been happening.
So I finally received funds to pay off the first hospital bill, the one holding my passport - the consulate could not get it back for me without payment, unfortunately. Gotta love privately corporate owned hospitals.
The 2nd hospital (government owned/operated), I've arranged a payment plan and have already paid a good portion of the bill - so I can officially leave Thailand without having this debt and potential trouble down the road looming over my head, should I ever return to the "land of smiles".
I spent some time today by myself wandering around, took a few photos. I needed some time to just leave my mind and wander.
Hell yeah they are! I'm a huge foodie and Thailand has been an incredible place for my taste buds to explore new flavor bursts.
(I think I have to agree with this point :P )
Sometimes, wandering is the best thing we can do for ourselves - at least if you're somewhat like me. Being an extroverted introvert has this complexity to it that even I am still discovering and learning about - I need my time for myself,
yet I can be the life of the party if I choose to be. Such an odd gift I've been given.
Anyways, it's been fun (for the most part) here in Thailand - I didn't take a ton of photos, but that's going to change with my next destination (which I will share with everyone where once I arrive there - staying low-key for now).
I'm eager to see what my next adventure will bring - while this past incident has taken nearly everything from me, I am extremely grateful and fortunate that I'm still alive and breathing - and able to walk now without pain.
Here's to new adventures, new friends, new experiences, foods, culture-shock, and everything else that I seem to encounter when traveling solo.
Side note - I get to meet up with a friend that I became really close with while in Chiang Mai - she's where I'm headed currently (by chance, I found out after I had booked my ticket) and I'm looking forward to hanging out with her again - what a woman ;)
I've also been holding and growing my little side nest egg of crypto - I nearly had to cash out but I managed to pull through financially and make things work (I've been living on about $3 a day for the past week or so).
Hooray for a little growth - started with $40 and now I've grown it to the $130's range - wonder where it'll be a year from now!
Stay classy, Steemians.
