Places like this are the reason why I'm in love with Portugal.
These are a few photos I took a couple of weeks ago in a small town in Portugal called "Branda da Aveleira", in the Melgaço district. The place is just a few kilometers away from the national Peneda Gerês Park. We stayed in an airbnb house that we've rented a few days before.
The place have only 1 person living there, and that person is the owner of the only restaurant around (called "Val de Poldros"), which attracts plenty of people from nearby towns (and serves huge steaks!)
If you walk around you are going to find "wild" horses strolling around as well as cows with huge horns. At night, we were scared as hell as we look out of the window and there was not a single soul in the surrounding area. Not even lights. But we could hear lot of bells from the cows walking.
There are also some stone houses that they call "Hobbit" houses (I kind of hate how the pop culture just permeates everything).
