Last week a gay couple wanted to check into their room in Tropea in Calabria (italy)
they were refused access with the fact that the pension practiced the policy of "no dogs or gays allowed"
The pension is called Casa Vacanze Cuifo
once this story got out a lot of their booking.com reservations were cancelled
in Italy gay marriage has been legal since last year as the last country in western Europe
I find it strange that in this day and age things like this still occur. I am not gay myself but same as i do not have a problem with red haired people i do not have an issue with gay people. this is the 21st century after all
i am writing this post just to raise a bit of awareness and hopefully break down the mountain of prejudices that still exist in our world a little bit
