At my sister in law's farm out in the boondocks of north central North Dakota and the horizon is as flat as a can be. Wind rows keep the farms a little protected from weather and help delineate boundaries. Montana is known as big sky country but they have mountains in that state, North Dakota is true big sky country. Nothing but trees and the curvature of the earth to block your view.
