Hi all ! few weeks ago we had an excursion/adventure to the southside of Samos island Greece . We started from the east , Samos town, with a 4wd vehicle as knew that the road wouldn 't be asphalt but dirt and stones after a point. We headed to Pagondas Village
( info link http://www.samosin.gr/el/item/%CF%80%CE%B1%CE%B3%CF%8E%CE%BD%CE%B4%CE%B1%CF%82/ )
and before reaching it, we turned to Spatharaious Village
(inf link http://www.gtp.gr/LocPage.asp?id=8394&lng=1 )
trying find Kyriakou beach which we unfortunately couldn't find ,as the sign was missing...(photo below)
So we continued to Tsopela beach (photos below)
but when reaching a crossroad, we thought : 'we 've gone to Tsopela before, so let's see where the other side goes' and so we headed southwest. After much dirt and stones , we reached Sykia beach, which is used as a small fishing port.
After couple hours, we moved on to see where the road leads. 20' later we reached Pavlis beach . I guess it took the name from the little church of St Paul...(photo below)
...but it was too rocky and we moved on about 20' till we met Avanti beach .There we made a full stop ! The beach was wonderful with thick dark green sand and the waves where just high enough to play with them ! (photos below cant show how beautiful it was)
And some photos from the left side sight we had on the way back home .
Seems we have many more to explore . Have a nice day !
