Yesterday we drove from Jan's hometown to another town called Kroměříž which is around 30 mins ride. First we explored the beautiful huge garden called Flower Garden.
The garden represents a transition between late renaissance Italian gardens and classical baroque gardens of the French type. The Flower Garden of Kroměříž is nowadays practically the only example of such designed complex in Europe.
Right hand side is a indoor garden with different kinds of beautiful flowers. Then we started to explore the huge garden outside and see how beautiful this garden is.
When starting exploring the garden, you will see the 'tunnels' around the every entrance to the center of the garden. I love the tree tunnel which is like a miracle trip is waiting for me!
It looks like the maze in the picture but it's not. Maybe for kids yes! I saw the pictures on their official website seems like there will be more colorful flowers around the 'maze' in summer! That will be absolutely beautiful when all the flowers are planted around the grass during summer:)
Selfie time!
Let's play hide and seek inside the tall tree borders with the sun! 35 degrees there is not a joke:P
The fountains with statues are so beautiful and classic! Love it!
So, there are 49 statues of gods in the Dutch Garden. The one I took picture for was Venus! Sometimes when looking at the statues, I will think how come the people can make the statues so real and so alive. This is the magic and art that we seldom have nowadays.
If I have chance, I would love to come back to the garden in summer as I think it will be more amazing and colorful with more plants around here. This tree looked so boring when there is without flowers.
After the trip, we went to main square for ice cream because it was tooo hot there. 35 degrees which is too crazy for me! That's good that the ice-cream cooled us down a bit!
Hope you guys have a great Friday night and weekend:)
Much love,
Gladys
