While traveling I always bump into special kind of people. One of them is Samir Wasser. 23 years old hitchhiker and journeyman. Here are few photos from his camera he took in the Merzouga desert and short story about the place.
After leaving the city gates, the openness and unimaginable size of the desert blow my mind. As I wandered further away from civilization the signs of the deadly desert reality occurred.
As everything in Morocco, what is left on the ground, also stays there. Like this poor old Camel.
The winds in the desert are strong and unforgiving. If you get lost in there, nobody might find you just few days later. The sand would cover you for the rest of times.
Without enough water in 40 degrees Celsius, one can get easily dehidrated, so I am heading back to the safety of the city and leave the nature to itself once again.
