Wednesday was a busy day on the street market in Awrir. All the people from the nearby villages show up to get their long awaited goods, to have a little chat or to make a business of the month there.
Most of them arived on stylish motorcycles, from another millennium.
The market was spreading itself along the main road and it seemed like a never ending fare full of various attractions. From the butcher's shop full of goats heads, to a stinky fishermen or a cute cake maker, this market had it all.
The village is known for it's Banana production. Unlike the other towns it has a river and some greenery. We're being told that in the shadows of the plantage, bandits awaits visitors sometimes. So, after reaching the end of the market we rather turn around and stay in unofficial safe zone.
Oh, did I mentioned graffiti? Yes, even the villages in Morocco are affected by this form of street art.
And of course, a little treat for ourselfs, a little shop full of rubbish and bullshit souvenirs.
