Dumaguete City is known for the following things:
-go-to place for college education of neighboring provinces and regions; it's also known as the "university city"
-one of the retirement capital of the world; listed 5th in Forbes Magazine's "7 Best Places to Retire Around the World"
(When I went there, I actually saw a lot of foreign senior citizens strolling. They probably like it there because it's peaceful and quiet.)
-named as the Best Place to Retire in the Philippines for 2018
-beautiful Rizal Boulevard
