What's everyone doing in traffic jams, cubicles and shopping centers when places like this exist in the world?
I am always a fan of the water feature and New Zealand boasts some of the cleanest, purest, most beautiful waters in the world! Come along with me and I'll take you to Kitekite falls, just outside of Auckland (we have to drive out of the city a little bit to get there!) I only had an hour on the dot at this spot before I had to leave to get to the airport on time for my flight down south to go pick up my van, Samwise! So, yours truly was racing up this hill, plowing past everyone so I could have more time to take all the amazing pictures you're about to see! (I was definitely late for my flight but I made it on!)
My friends in Auckland didn't want to make the drive out here! I guess it's like that when you live somewhere isn't it? It always seems like something you can do another time (though usually never end up doing for always putting it off!)
I decided to rent a car and make it happen!
After the drive out there, past the gorgeous coast line... I arrived at the carpark which told me the trail was 45 mins return. I literally only had 1 hour before I knew I needed to head back but I wouldn't give up on seeing this gorgeous natural beauty!
The forest was a nature lover's dream! I love hiking in New Zealand because of the lack of predators there (haha) it's true though- it's a thing- look it up! Or... maybe they just told me that to make me strut my stuff with no fear! ;)
I debated racing to the top without taking any pictures on the way because I was really rushed for time and slightly stressing about it but that wouldn't be any fun so we got some!
Walking through this forest was something like being in Jurassic Park. Seriously wouldn't have flinched if a dinosaur came popping out of somewhere trying to take my head off. Good thing I am vegan and had my vegan T-shirt on. T-Rex's don't eat vegans. Fact.
It was still a little bit chilly compared to Bali so for the first time in months I actually had jeans and a sweater on! If you know me, that is just straight craziness! (My friends that live there think that is warm! Shivers...
I was rushed for time like I told you but I wanted to share this sign with you, it didn't turn out great but I am still sharing it anyway in case any of you are expert deciphers and really interested! ;)
OK, are you ready? I am about to clear the last corner and get the breaking view of the falls!

TADA! Kitekite falls!
I also sent the drone up and got some of the fastest footage known to man but my drone and I are not together right now. I will definitely share that video whenever I get her back. She's on lend right now and I miss her but sharing is caring! Plus, it just gives you more to look forward to, amiright?
What do you guys think? Booking your flights to NZ yet? I feel like with my photos and adventures I am going to spike tourism for them ;)
If you liked this, definitely check out my other NZ escapades like this one here of a famous movie site and stay tuned for plenty more where these came from!
As always, sending you love to all over the world, from homebase in Bali! Yay 2018!
XO,
